After the success of their Total Toy Domination campaign, Big W entrusted us with the task of creating an interactive Advent Calendar to support their in-store and online Christmas promotion. This campaign was designed to highlight their extensive  product range, bringing excitement and engagement to their holiday shopping experience. The goal was to create a memorable digital experience that complemented their festive promotions while driving both online engagement and in-store traffic.
Snow ball game
Inspired by the thrill of a snowball fight, I worked closely with the team to create a fun and dynamic micro-game that immersed players in an exciting challenge. The game featured simple yet captivating mechanics, making it accessible to a wide audience—especially children and parents. To enhance the experience, players who successfully completed the game would unlock a secret promo coupon, adding a rewarding incentive to encourage participation. Through the Advent calendar, each day offered a new deal, keeping users engaged and encouraging them to return and interact with the game.
In-store engagement & enhancing the Overall Shopping Experience
During the Christmas period, to drive in-store engagement, a new deal was introduced each day. Customers could print and redeem a coupon at a Big W store, encouraging online users to visit physical locations. This approach not only incentivised store visits but also created opportunities for additional purchases. By seamlessly integrating the digital and in-store shopping experience, the campaign effectively boosted foot traffic, strengthened brand interaction, and enhanced the overall customer journey.
