Online Toy Campaign

Big W launched an in-store and online campaign called Total Toy Domination, aimed at promoting their toy and kids' product range. They approached us to develop an interactive mini-game concept that would enhance customer engagement.

Space Invaders concept

I was tasked with designing an online mini-game that would seamlessly align with Big W's TOTAL TOY DOMINATION campaign, aimed at promoting their range of toys and kids' products. The goal was to create an interactive and enjoyable experience that would captivate users, encourage engagement, and drive both online and in-store traffic.
A classic Space Invaders Experience
Drawing inspiration from the classic Space Invaders, working with the team, I developed a fun and dynamic micro-game where players could immerse themselves in an exciting challenge.  The game mechanics were designed to be simple yet engaging, making it accessible to a wide audience, especially children and parents. Upon successfully completing the game, players would unlock a secret promo coupon, adding an element of reward and incentive to the experience.
In-store engagement & enhancing the Overall Shopping Experience
To encourage in-store engagement, the coupon could be printed and brought into a Big W store to be redeemed. This not only incentivized online users to visit physical locations but also created an opportunity for additional purchases. By integrating the digital and in-store shopping experience, the campaign effectively drove foot traffic, increased brand interaction, and enhanced the overall shopping journey for customers.
