I had the exciting opportunity to unify and modernise the website’s user experience by creating a comprehensive design system that ensures consistency, usability, scalability, and enhanced accessibility.
Collaborating with Real Insurance’s Head of Digital Design & Development, we set out to refine the design, streamline workflows, and eliminate inconsistencies to create a more seamless and engaging user experience.
Previously, the website featured a mix of inconsistent elements and components, designed by different teams across multiple projects.
This led to a fragmented user interface, making navigation challenging and reducing brand cohesion. Without a standardised design system, maintaining and updating the website was inefficient, resulting in variations in typography, colors, button styles, and interactions.
Outcomes
By implementing a unified design system, we created a scalable and cohesive framework that enhanced brand identity while improving usability, accessibility, and long-term efficiency. The development team initially leveraged the design system for projects such as CRO initiatives, A/B testing, and landing pages, laying the foundation for a more streamlined and consistent digital experience.
