Giant Robots
I was commissioned to create an art installation for Vivid Sydney 2015. My concept was to invert the traditional idea of a light installation by instead casting giant robot shadows on a wall at Walsh Bay. Viewers could interact with the installation by stepping into the light, merging their own shadows with the towering robotic figures, creating a playful, uniquely simple and immersive experience.

An Intel Arduino chip with motion sensors was used to detect passersby, triggering robot sounds and dynamic lighting effects from the lights casting the shadows. This interactive element enhanced the experience, making the installation more immersive and responsive to audience movement.
